I should really go pick up Chinatown Wars. Also, with BioShock 2 in the news, I have a fierce craving to replay the original. And Resident Evil 4 Wii is sitting unopened.
Who am I kidding? I'll probably sleep through noon and play TF2.

Finally got access to my shack account, so I can get in that group with you guys. Be SOOOOOO much more fun with even semi remotely competent people to play with. Tho, admittedly I probably suck some kind of hardcore, after playing with all the tards online.

However this is simply not the case. I have looked at many plasma screens and all of them have distinctly gray blacks. This is not an issue of store lighting, matte vs reflective surfaces, or configuration of the display. It is simply a fact. On a plasma screen, black is gray.
I have not witnessed the transcendental splendor that is kuro, but if it takes double the amount of money for plasma to barely live up to it's own hype then I'm not sure it's worth it.
These facts have been added to the mountain of evidence that no one in the world knows what they're talking about.

I just read about this on the Something Awful forums and signed up to play. The game is called Broken Picture Telephone and it is basically an online version of the "telephone game" played by kids. But instead of whispering a phrase to other people you take turns drawing pictures and describing what is in a picture. Of course this produces some strange sequences.

Aquaria and Mr. Robot seem interesting to me but I never heard anything about them. Also, I'll probably get Defense Grid and the demo was enjoyable.

Blog entry by google's lead visual designer on why he is quitting. He cites that it is too frustrating to work in a large organization that relies too heavily on data to direct their visual design decisions. He didn't want to have debates over the thickness of borders and shades of blue anymore.
I can understand that, and relate to the frustration of trying to do core principle visual design among a bunch of engineers, but I think he is just being defeated, and walking away rather than just fixing the problem. His problem isn't unique and it happens in a lot of places when you're doing interactive design that isn't advertising/marketing focused.
What he should be doing is changing the discourse of design at google, and creating a new background and conversation about it instead of just fighting the way things are done.

here is the plot:
1) nicholas cage finds a piece of paper that tells him when large numbers of people are going to die
2) people die
3) his son finds a girlfriend
4) his son and girlfriend are abducted by aliens and taken to another planet
5) earth is destroyed by a giant solar blast
6) the end
in between those events are some of the most realistic, violent disaster scenes i've seen in a movie. the first one that happens, i was actually disturbed - and i am not easily disturbed. the movie is rated pg13, i've seen the russian screwdriver video, and it still bothered me. the special effects are ridiculous.

Every game you link is awesome, and most of the ones I stumble across on my own suck balls. Like nearly every commentator on sc2gg.com is terrible. Who there doesn't suck? Most of the gomtv ones are good, but I've seen a lot of them already.
