Riddick Goes Gold, New Screenshots Released

Starbreeze's remake/expansion of its original Riddick shooter went gold today. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is expected in stores by April 7 on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

To mark the day, the company put out a few more images from the game--as if the recent trailer blast wasn't enough.

My impressions on the PS3 Riddick Demo? It's about time someone grabbed the sacred Looking Glass banner, raised it high, and did a stealth shooter proper like.

I will probably pick this up as well since I enjoyed the original.. BUT only after it's dropped in price.. so backlogged with games it's not even funny.. no sense in paying full retail for something i wont even play right away

Its using 'The Darkness' engine (game also by StarBreeze). I played the demo, it was good. But...theres some probs, pop-ins. when you do the 'block,' his the texture on vin diesels' fingers jitters a bit. some slowdowns also present.

Curse my game purchasing timing! I just got Half Life 2 + episode one + episode two. Theres no way I'll be done with those before this comes out. Thats makes me a sad panda.
