i played this game on hard... it would be nice if they made some of the spells and potions more useful. i got through the whole game essentially using Igni + swordplay, with a little Aard mixed in. I would use Yrden when I was bored or in a confined area that i could get the idiots to run over the tiny tiny little circle of spikes. The other spells (hex, damage shield) i dont even know their names they were so useless. Then there were the potions. Until I got to the end of the game, I only used Tawny Owl and Swallow potions, with White Honey to clear my toxicity level. Attempting to use any more than that was too toxic to play. Only at the very end of the game did I start using some of the other potions, and only after I got the Gold Talent for -25% toxicity. Did I do something wrong? Or were 90% of the potions in the game gimmicky and useless?
