Mass Effect 2 Coming to PC, Xbox 360
by Chris Faylor, Mar 17, 2009 10:08am PDTWhile we've already known about the title for a while now--a teaser trailer was released last month--acclaimed role-playing game developer BioWare today formally announced its sci-fi RPG sequel Mass Effect 2.
The second entry in a planned trilogy, Mass Effect 2 will hit PC and Xbox 360 in early 2010. Publisher Electronic Arts had previously revealed the release timeframe, but refused to confirm platforms with Shacknews at that time.
"We're going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story," said BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka.
"Mass Effect 2 is shaping up to be an unforgettable RPG-shooter experience, taking players on a non-stop roller-coaster ride filled with stunning plot twists and no-holds-barred action."
The studio also provided a brief synopsis of the plot, copied below:
The Mass Effect trilogy is a masterful science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life forms and mysterious uncharted planets. In this dark second chapter, Saren's evil army of Geth soldiers has just been defeated, and humans, who are still struggling to make their mark on the galactic stage, are now faced with an even greater peril...

When I came back to play it again (6 months later), it turned out that I got all of the lame/boring stuff out of the way because what was left was the main story and that part was just plain awesome.
Basically the game was about 40 hours of filler side missions and 8-10 hours of solid awesome story.
The ending was really good, too, although I think it was best because I had the option to do whatever I wanted since I had filled paragon (good decision tree) to max and had renegade (bad decision tree) about 50% of the way up.

I can see the point of them, but seriously I find them to be so boring. They are all the same too, its either an image of something or some scene that has something pop out with louder volume than normal, ugh...
They're not scary and if they seriously make you jump, then I don't think you've seen enough scary movies.

Can we all decide ? I put it into the category of "to boot", "no pun intended", and "literally"; with the category being "sayings that retarded people use without thinking".
For example: Mass Effect 2's cantina is literally no-holds-barred (no pun intended) that will test your quick thinking, to boot! (not literal, holds are barred, pun was intended, and not in addition to...)
