Weekend Discussion
by Chris Faylor, Mar 14, 2009 8:55am PDTNice to see that we got some actual BioShock 2 details yesterday, especially after the early morning fake-out. Though I will admit, I'm a bit bummed that the rhinoceros and giant squid bosses turned out to be bunk. Those sounded off-the-wall awesome.
As Indiana is still pulling the old "it looks sunny and nice outside but it's really just a few degrees above freezing" trick, I think I'll end up spending most of the weekend inside. Let's see how many episodes of The Wire I can burn through, but don't worry. I'll take breaks to play Resident Evil 5, 50 Cent, and Peggle. Maybe I'll even read a book!

1) If an orange peg is not hit during a turn, the player takes a drink.
2) If an extra ball is earned, either through points or by landing in a bucket, your opponent must drink for each free ball.
3) In the event of Extreme Fever, an opponent must drink depending on which pit is hit. The middle pit is worth three points, the two next to the middle are worth two, and the others are worth one drink.
4) If more than two people want to play, whomever has earned less points relinquishes their seat at the end of the stage. Note that this is almost impossible to keep track of in Regular mode, but after a few levels, everyone should be feeling jovial.
This was tested with a group of eight people, most of which had never experienced Peggle. It proved to be a success with the Xbox 360 version, and once Rock Band took over the Xbox 360, the PC version was found to be just as effective at providing joy.

It does sound fun though!
Might I add: For a 'lucky bounce', your opponent slaps your face. This is painful but also sobering, perfectly simulating the jammy dodgerness of fluking a save.
