More Fallout 3 'The Pitt' DLC Screenshots

10
Ready for some AutoAxe-slaughtering action? Developer Bethesda has just released a few more screenshots from its next batch of Fallout 3 downloadable content, The Pitt.

Priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10), The Pitt will enable PC and Xbox 360 players to explore the morally ambiguous slave trade within post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh. It's due out on March 24, and will also pack some new enemies that want to eat your face.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

This better be good. Operation Anchorage was a waste of money, $10 for 2 hours of linear FPS shooting, with nothing that made Fallout 3 good from character interaction to loot searches. Apparently this is much more expansive, a bit nonlinear, and is very in depth when it comes to moral choices and character interaction, just like the original. It isn't supposed to be that long however, once again clocking in at 2-3 hours. I'll be waiting for impressions this time....

My feelings exactly. I just bought OA two nights ago and played though it last night.

It wasn't Fallout 3 at all. It was Call of Duty without anything that made Fallout 3 fun. If I want to play whack-a-mole and plant explosives to blow up guns, I'll play some CoD or Medal of Honor, thanks. I knew it was going to be bad the moment I killed the first guy and went looking for his gun and body. Oh, it's not there, it's dissolved away. Great.

Very rarely do I ever feel like I've wasted money on a game (Skynet, Unreal 2). OA was a complete waste and I wish I hadn't bothered with it (not to mention the hour and a half I spent just getting the damn thing to work in the first place).

Combine the horrendous GFW Live experience and the "hey look, I'm playing Allied Assault" gameplay, I will not be spending any more money on this game.

I really wish they would release a full expansion rather than these tiny 2 hour DLC adventures. A full featured expansion is really the only way to give us more of what made Fallout 3 so great.
Lots of locations with stories of their own, and side missions is what made Fallout 3 great, and to be quite frank, the main mission/plot wasn't very exciting, well executed, or very interesting.
