BioShock 2 Teaser Map Revealed?

9
A sleuth on the NeoGAF forums has done some digging on the newly-posted BioShock 2 teaser site, apparently uncovering the final map revelation and the likely setting of the sequel.

According to the teaser site, strange creatures have been kidnapping little girls from beaches, the first location currently marked with an "X" and dated. But poster MirageDwarf has uncovered the final dates and locations, including an ominous "X" in the middle of the ocean, seemingly indicating the source of the kidnappings.

While the "X" may at first seem to indicate the location of Rapture, the setting of the first BioShock, studious fans have noted that Rapture was said to be located in the North Atlantic, closer to Iceland.

So what spot does the "X" mark? Current speculation includes the location of the mythological underwater city Atlantis (pictured above), which seems to line up with the final BioShock 2 map marking.

We should know more by the end of the month following the Game Developers Conference.

that X in the middle of nowhere doesn't seem to match up with the other stuff...

Look at the black and white map. It shows a little piece of "land" and its named Atlantis. Its the same spot where the X is on the other map.

Not in comparison to the map of fabled atlantis - but if you plot all the "incident" locations on the coasts and were trying to prove that they came from a centralized location from the center of the atlantic - the correct location of the X would be a bit further north of where fabled atlantis is suggested to be found.

        I'm just being picky.
