NCsoft's CryEngine-powered MMO Aion: Tower of Eternity is shown off in this brief trailer, highlighting the Poeta zone of the heavenly Elysea region.

Poeta is "home to farmers and villagers who attempt to live in peace," according to NCsoft. Of course, this is a video game, so a "violent species of sentient humanoids" has to spoil the party.

The Korean MMO is scheduled for a fall release in Western territories.

The game certainly looks pretty. But I can't imagine playing 5 minutes in this pvp grindfest listening to kids spam general chat with "pwn'd j00!!!! hard!" every night.

This is probably one of the, if not the, best looking medieval/fantasy looking MMO's out there. Combat looks pretty cool as do the effects and worlds..

A big pretty CryEngine fantasy RPG sounds very interesting, but I have no interest in playing an MMO. (especially the awful grindfest predicted by another post)
