Set in the Bronze Age, the map would include Greece in the west to India in the east.
Somewhere around 2000BC-1500BC or 500BC(Cyrus the Great) or after the fall of Alexander the Great's empire.
In any case, it would definitely need kings with big, braided beards ^_^
Underwater madness. Humans try to invade Atlantis. The battles start out on land, get to shores and beaches and then end up underwater for a fantastic final battle in a sensational setting with mind blowing architecture. Water also affects the humans' movement speed and provides a huge boost for atlantians.
Total War set in East Asia during the 1500s. Civs would be India, Mongols, China, Japan, Korea, Muslim Traders, Dutch, Portuguese, England, Spanish, and France. Campaigns include Japan's invasion into Korea, Imperial Period, Unification of China, and Invasion of China.

my ex girlfriend moves around the campaign map, which is of the portland metro area, collecting stds and forming alliances with assholes at the crystal ball room. battles are confrontations in parking lots where she's drunk and insists on driving.

The time for expansion within the tribes has dawned. New revolutionary techniques are being discovered, ones that will shake the foundations of empires. The Iron Age has dawned, bringing new metal but also uniting tribes in a way never seen before. People are uniting, and empires are growing.
My idea is that this TW game will start around 1000 BC up to around the birth of christ / slightly before. It is a perfect setting as it allows for an interesting period of time + many large empires. Technology development would of the utmost importance here, if your civilisation / country is left with archaic simple weapons they will be slowly overpowered by tribes/civilisations with superior technology. If the roman empire was included that would be up to the makers of the game (as it has alread been done in the TW series)
Lead Fiddy and his crew of rappers, soundmen, roadies, hoochies, and Marketing Personnel back into Afghanistan to recover his Diamond Encrusted Skull.

Over 30 locales to battle in. The Hood, The Club, The Studio, more.

how it starts: In the year 3089 A space research company called Star exploer pickups a distress signal from space star exploer then sends out a small team of 5 people to investagate this signal it appears they reached the area but star exploer lost conntact with there small team but there was a message left the message was
we need help these things these weird looking creatures there assaulting us from everywhere theirs thousands of them right now were in a ship were the distress signal came from were you told us to go it tuns out these creatures are making these radation powered guns and there are also making millions of vehicles it looks like there going to assault are planet (ahhhh were under attack again! (gun fire heard in message)
after the message ended star explorer know they needed to alert the world so they did calling the us presdient first then the us goverment was called to tell everyone
they then knew they were going to war not a war but a Total War! in space so over 16 billion humans got on a ship called the Star Reacher witch was a massive military spaceship used against alien assaults but this was the first time it was ever used so it took days to get it ready the ship was exactly 97 million miles long the development was in 2964 it took till 3017 to complete then the ship headed out to space and went to the weird creatures spaceship but what they didn't know is that these creatures whitch names are Xteros picked up the Star Reachers large distress signal and also were able to tap in with earths phone lines they already knew they were coming to attack them so the war was going to be massive. The aliens assaulted them from every direction it got so bad the xetros breached the Star Reacher the war lasted for days in different areas but eventually the humans breached the Xetros ship too. Causing a massive space Total War fight.
They aren't laughing anymore.
In the not too distant future, the United States is history. In it's place is the Texas Republic, the California Confederation, Atlantic America, The Central North American Republic, The Cascadian Realm, and French Quebec. Each nation is struggling with the scarce resources, and some have talked about reunification by any means necessary.
Will you lead the army? Will you seek alliances with the European Union, the Russian Federation, the Asian Alliance, or cut a deal with Valenzuela? How much blood will be shed in the name of reunification?
Find out.... in Total War: North America Union

Just like it sounds, fend of the invasion, retake occupied(enslaved) cities, and drive the alien menace from the land.

think about it, gain control of the neighbourhood. earn money from drug dealers and brothels. recruit teenagers to do the dirty work. its still total war, just with a lot of swearing and shooting.
This time you can't lose!
Desperately squeeze as many billions out of the government as you can while deftly concealing your massive bonuses from the angry peasants.
Hey, it worked for Call of Duty :P
possible foes: Aliens, insects (like from Starship Troopers), invading race.

Starships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, c-beams glittering near the Tannhauser gate etc.
You still get huge epic battles with thousands of troops. You can a number of different war theaters, jungle, desert, high altitude mountain battles, etc. Bringing different types of ants for different classes. Incorporate other insects as well. Wasps are fighter pilots, those big black carpenter bees do the carpet bombing, rollie pollies are your armored tanks, get some crazy centipedes in there, they could be elite forces.
It will also give you some fresh content for city building options and upgrades. Underground, in hillsides, in trees/fallen logs, etc etc.
Bring a new perspective to the Total War series, put that special feeling back in your pants - Total Army Ants.
Middle Earth: Total War is the only name i can think of though =P
Given the calibre of CA's previous titles we could end up with something quite enjoyable.
Failing that a Star Trek or Star Wars version would satisfy the want for a Sci Fi-esque game =P
Epic struggle between the 2 factions. Would we finally learn the answer to the age old question of who would win? ;)

I would throw in the "2" to get some extra sales off of CoD:4's namesake.
