At long last, today marks the day that Creative Assmebly's historical strategy simulator Empire: Total War (PC) arrives. You can find it at stores, or just download it on Steam.

In celebration, publisher Sega issued a new trailer. But will I ever see fellow editor Nick Breckon again? He's been obsessed with the demo. In fact, the entire reason I posted this was because he'd probably read it, and someone needs to remind him to eat.

I am waiting for the MP patch coming ... "sometime in the future", before I pick this one up. The demo was buggy and had serious load times. Put me off a bit.

This gives me chills. I've played the demo 3 times and this game is downloading slowly but surely now via Steam. I cannot wait to get home.

I've played it. and everytime it has crashed. about an hour in. twice with total system freeze and once with a white screen and window pops up that says it has encountered an error and will be closed.

i love this game so far but just a fair warning to all: the game is not really anything like any of the previous total war games when it comes to the campaign, lots of new additions and different things to consider a lot more, there is now research, and tax policy has been reverted to one single national tax but it also splits it between a nobility tax and lesser persons tax. lots of variables in this game, lots of new and different things, but its good at least to me.

back to jizzing my pants while taking over the world with the ottoman empire! ;)

Good luck getting it to run crash free or with working sound! Many people got their copies yesterday and it's been a complete fiasco. X-fi sound cards seem to be the worst off. None of my 3 computers will run it properly. When it's just the sound issue- the game runs perfect and looks gorgeous, it's like a hot deaf chick.
