No Plans to Release New Wii Pad in US or Europe, Says Nintendo
by Chris Faylor, Mar 03, 2009 11:00am PSTThat new "Classic Controller PRO" Nintendo unveiled last week is only slated for Japan at this time, according to Nintendo representatives.
GameStop and CVG were both told that there are no current plans to bring the controller to North America or Europe, respectively.
The new pad, due out in Japan this summer, adds lengthened handles and two more shoulder buttons, and revises the wire placement of the original Classic Controller. However, it will still need to be plugged into a Wii Remote for actual use.
