Street Fighter 4 PC Due This Summer
by Chris Faylor, Feb 27, 2009 8:47am PSTThe PC version of Capcom's Street Fighter IV should arrive sometime during the summer, according to Capcom business development VP Christian Svensson.
"Let's say summer," Svensson told VideoGamer.com when asked about the PC release. He added that the recent arcade sticks and pads produced by Mad Catz are PC compatible, and that Capcom is discussing a Street Fighter 4 PC game-pad bundle.
As for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of Street Fighter IV, which hit worldwide earlier this month, Svensson said that the console releases of the urban bralwer are "exceeding forecasts" and"on track to do some pretty amazing things."

1. Select a title that would normally not sell on the pc in the first place.
2. Give the interface translation to the newest, least trained person at the company.
3. Add multiple layers of copy protection
4. Delay the release for months. Just to make sure anyone who was interested, either bought the console version already or lost interest.
5. Release it with minimum or no testing.
Capcom has 2 of the 5 already. Good job.

Basically the delay is to optimize for the variety of hardware configs, add a new online "service", as well as include all the patches that'll be coming to the console versions.
