Hmmm, I didn't pick up the new skate park last week because I didn't think a single park was worth the money, but 3 whole new areas is a little different. I'm glad they're supporting the title so much, especially right off the bat. I might just have to get this one.

Supposedly this one has new challenges in each area too. Still, it's hard for me to be glad about support like this, $5 cheat codes, $7.50 cameras, and $5 areas when the game still has career stopping bugs and online glitches. Some of the content, like the advanced cameras came so soon after launch it's hard not to believe it was cut and held back from the game on purpose.

EA should be ashamed of themselves for doing this after knowing what Criterion has done with Burnout Paradise and how much the fans appreciate it, honestly. I didn't buy the stupid fantasy park, but spots like the elementary school and the community center were expected to make a return in Skate 2 because they were so popular, really lame how they made them DLC instead. I guess you'll be able to tell how much thought was put into them before the game's release by how they are integrated into the current map.

DLC is good if it's minor and free or full blown expansions, but these sort of practices need to be stopped before they get worse.

Breckon, do you know if people at Black Box are actively working on creating this stuff anew or was it already done and ready to go (or mostly done) out of the gate and in EA's hands who've been trying as hard as they can to wait and stagger the release of this content so as not to appear incredibly greedy?

That's my lame interpretation, anyone who knows what is going on feel free to drop some truth on us.

I was under the impression that whoever is left of Black Box after the mass layoffs were already working on other games.

I believe this was done in advance, I'll try to drudge up the interview.

Alright, it seems what I thought was an interview was just an IGN preview, sans interview. So I don't know if these were done before Black Box moved or not.
