The Last Remnant PC Demo Released
by Nick Breckon, Feb 25, 2009 12:24pm PSTSquare Enix has released a demo for The Last Remnant, the PC port of last year's Xbox 360 RPG. The new port will reportedly make use of Steamworks in the addition of new, unspecified features.
Grab the 1.01GB demo now on FileShack. The Last Remnant PC hits on April 9.

the graphics are barely passable, the lighting is very bad, the animations are not interesting, the art style is dull. overall it feels like playing a PS2 game in a higher resolution, which wouldn't be bad if it were a good game...
I just finished Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2 and the combat there is simplistic but the enemies have interesting design & good animations, the story is actually decent, you can explore around a bit, the boss battles are fun, etc..
I'll have to give this a try later again to get a second impression. On first impression it's not fun despite it not having the performance issues w/ a good PC.
