Sins of a Solar Empire Micro-Expansion Launches, Next to Focus on Diplomacy

The first micro-expansion for Ironclad's acclaimed space strategy title Sins of a Solar Empire has officially launched.

The expansion, selling for $10 on Stardock's Impulse service, adds new starbases, mine fields, and other entrenching upgrades to the spaceship fleets.

Entrenchment marks the first of three planned micro-expansions to the game, all set to be released over the next year. According to publisher Stardock, the next expansion will focus primarily on enhancing the diplomacy features of the game.

The game itself came out and only cost 30 bucks. Thats one hell of a deal. Add this expansion on, and you are up to 40 for a lot more content than half of the games you buy for 60

I'm probably going to buy this. The original game has been out for quite awhile and they took their time making that $10 go far unlike just about everyone else who's in it for a quick buck. This is "DLC" I can get behind.

Bought this game 4 hours ago, and found my ass entrenched in my seat for 3 1/2 hours before I realized I have something called a life, a thought I quickly dismissed and continued playing.

Can't wait for more details on the Diplomacy expansion. That was one of the few relatively underdeveloped portions of Sins.
