I dunno...I was super excited for this game a couple of years ago, but now it does seem rather generic.

    Well...we'll see.

That's kind of a worry, but I still think it's going to be grim, massive, and awesome.

Yeah, I don't know. Nothing I've seen so far has gotten me the least bit excited about it.

Bioware hasn't let me down yet. I personally can't wait for this.

Jade empire let me down. Kotor and Mass Effect didnt. Maybe it's a cycle and dragon age will take the hit so that Mass Effect 2 can soar?

I actually feel a bit depressed about this game now. I tried so hard to keep in a good light after waiting so long for it but it all looks INCREDIBLY generic. And for them to stay it's akin to A Song Of Ice And Fire is a downright lie. I've read all four books and the two couldn't be more dissimilar.

I'm the opposite, I have been ignoring this game until recently. Lately I've been thinking it might actually be very good, perhaps not a classic, but Bioware have proved capable of taking a generic setting (generic sci-fi in the case of mass effect) and nevertheless making a compelling game.

I've been extremely disappointed with the trailers so far as well, but then I realised that's exactly how I felt about all the Mass Effect publicity. None of it impressed me in the slightest, and yet that game turned out fine.

Of course there's always the possibility that this game just sucks, but I'm wondering if BioWare either just sucks at marketing or their games suck at being marketed.

Not a very good trailer. Game will probably still be fun.

I totally agreed, but I saw a demo of it a week or so ago at a press event and it really impressed me. I think it's going to be worth checking out...(I hope).
