Codemasters Picks Up Latest Leisure Suit Larry

12
Codemasters has signed on to publish Team17's Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust (PC, PS3, X360), according to a listing on its official site noticed by Big Download.

The adventure title was one of the many left without a publisher following last year's Activision Blizzard merger, in which the new company dropped many of the titles that were to be published by Sierra Entertainment. The game's now due out this spring.

It is not known if Codemasters has purchased the Leisure Suit Larry property outright, or if it's merely publishing the game. Box Office Bust represents the second entry in the suggestive adventure series that has been made without the input of creator Al Lowe.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

I love Al Lowe. I'm not sure why they didn't want his input or consultation for these games. He was more than willing to help.

That isn't true. Al Lowe had this "woe is me sitting by the phone" story on his web page during the development of LSL:MCL which wasn't true. VU and High Voltage both wanted him on board but he refused to sign NDAs. I heard other things too but that is what is publicly known. He burned his bridge with those stunts so I wouldn't be surprised they didn't even bother to ask this time.

Well, the previous game looks shite and was shite, so no wonder he might have burned the bridges.

This games looks as bad as the previous was and doesn't even look like a Larry game.

Just kill of the series please and stop the milking of the dead cow.
