Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena Gets Release Date, Downloadable Demo Coming in March

Starbreeze Studios' atmospheric shooter The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PC, PS3, X360) will ship to North American retailers on April 7, publisher Atari has announced. The European release will follow a few weeks later, on April 24.

Furthermore, downloadable PlayStaion 3 and Xbox 360 demos will arrive in March.

An enhanced remake of Starbreeze's 2004 PC and Xbox shooter The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Dark Athena sports redone graphics, an entirely new single-player campaign in addition to the original, and several multiplayer modes.

I don't understand why some games get console demos but not a PC demo. Is it that much more difficult to make a PC demo or something?

  Probably has t o do with testing. Since the console is the primary market and a closed platform it's probably easier and more worthwhile to get it on them before the PC.

    Probably cause they know that lots of pc gamers will torrent it, so no need for extra worthless effort.
