BlizzCon 2009 Announced

15
Blizzard today announced that BlizzCon 2009 will occur at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22.

As per past BlizzCons, attendees will have the chance to play upcoming games from the StarCraft, Diablo, Warcraft and World of WarCraft developer, as well as attend and participate in discussion panels, tournaments, and community contests.

To compensate for the event's ever-increasing popularity, BlizzCon 2009, the fourth such celebration hosted by Blizzard, has been expanded from three to four convention halls.

"We've been amazed by the incredible response to each of our previous BlizzCon events," said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime. "We look forward to this new opportunity to meet Blizzard gamers from around the world."

More details on BlizzCon 2009, including ticket availability and pricing, will be revealed on the official BlizzCon website "as the event draws closer."

Any shackers go this? I haven't played WOW in a few years, but a friend was talking about going just to witness the crazy.

getting to play sc2 and diablo 3 was rad, the lines did suck, but it was mainly because everyone was trying to get in ASAP. If you wait a few hours you can walk right in.

and the lines for the store were mega-retarded, but they still had plenty of stock on the last day

          Lines for the store sucked.
Badge pick-up was a breeze, you just have to go get your badge early.
I never waited in line for a game for more than 20 minutes, it's just a matter of scheduling. I didn't go to most of the WoW-related panels (I was more interested in SC2 and D3 anyways) so those proved good times to try and play D3 or SC2.
I missed all the good parties last year, looking forward to this Blizzcon.

Lines everywhere, but you dont have to wait in them too much the first day.

except for the big line to get in the convention center. but if you have an slr in one hand and talking on a cell phone, you can skip the big line :)
