by Chris Faylor, Feb 12, 2009 7:24am PSTI picked up Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad for Xbox 360 yesterday, and much to my surprise, it's not half-bad. Not the most amazing or innovative game ever, but fun.
At heart, it's a mindless hack-and-slash where you just mash X to make a girl in a bikini or schoolgirl uniform slice zombies into little pieces. But there's a little bit of depth, through the multiple characters and combos that you'll discover. There's one enemy that requires a specific combo to take down, so at the very least, you have to pay attention.
But my favorite feature is probably the mid-game save. You can quit out of the game at any moment, and it'll save your progress and let you pick up from that point later on. That's extremely useful in Survival Mode, where I spent a lot of time earning experience.
Oh, and you have to constantly clean off your sword--too more gore on it and it'll lose its edge and get stuck in zombies. Seriously. I just wish the lock-on was more useful outside of a one-on-one fight--good luck locking on to that big boss when he's surrounded by a few dozen zombies--and that the manual was a bit more detailed.
The move that can take down an otherwise seemingly invincible foe? Not in the manual--I learned of it via a tip that popped up after I died in Survival. And since it involves such specific timing with button presses and moving the analog stick forward--you're literally ripping his heart out--I don't think I would have figured it out myself.

I'm looking mostly for feedback on how easy it is to view the site. Does it feel confusing, straight forward? I'm not 100% convinced with the projects and contact us page at the moment but I just want to get something up.

is there some sort of cool mage item i can get somewhere, i got the stupid apron from helping the artist guy out of his paintworld but it'll be lame if i just wear this thing the whole game. i mean it looks pretty crappy. i have a nice set of light armor as well that looks cool, but i want me some +int

So, back a few seasons ago, in a season finale...the Others had Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley and Michael got his boat off the island. Locke was keeping Eko out from the Button room to keep them from entering the code and all hell was breaking loose. Desmond goes down below and turns a key and the hatch blows up.
All the way back on the other side of the island where Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer were, they saw the flash as did those on the beach.
Did the island move at that point? Did everybody time travel? Did nothing happen but the hatch blowing up? It's important to note that it was at that point that Desmond had his trip into the past where he first met Faraday's mother and when he got back from the trip he could see glimpses of the future (or was that remembering what he already lived?)

My brother (can't get a hold of him or else I'd ask) has a a pair of work boots that don't have laces. They have like... a strip of elastic on the side to slide them on and off quickly. Anyone know what I'm talking about or what they are called?

My credit score (middle one) is 710 -- income is quite solid (> 100k/yr), debt is low ($66k car lease, $10k student loan, no credit card debt, don't have a current home), low expenses, not married, perfect payment record / tax record.
Trying to figure out around what % rate for an FHA is reasonable. I can get away with 5.5% down.. but I'm concerned about the PMI and Interest Rate.

So I'm having an issue with a site that I've never experienced before. Not really sure how to search for it in google so I figured I'd as here.
I have some basic content that I've put in a site that's in a paragraph mark up. The problem I'm having is that when I go to view the site all apostrophes show up as O's with tilde's over them and all the ellipses show up as E's with tildes over them. It's fucking weird and I don't know what's up.

i've been biting my fingernails to the quick all my life, since i was like 6 years old and saw my dad do it once. as such, they don't grow to the end of my fingers anymore, and my fingers are big and fat at the tips.
i'd like to take a 10-week guitar class at UT this summer, but i don't want to shell out the money if i won't be able to play a six-string because of these bad boys. it's really hard to push down one string without touching the ones next to it, and plucking/picking with my right-hand fingers sounds muted because of the lack of nails. am i doomed here, or is there hope?
