X-Men Origins Wolverine Screenshots: Slaps, Chops
by Nick Breckon, Feb 06, 2009 3:05pm PSTTwelve new screenshots from Raven Software's PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of X-Men Origins: Wolverine are seen below. The game has been described as a God of War-style brawler, complete with 40 levels for players to exercise their rage meters.
With a Wolverine game on the way that has some potential of being successful, I can't help but recall the flawed but memorable 8 and 16-bit era attempts. LJN's thoroughly ugly NES title Wolverine. Western Technologies' Sega Genesis game X-Men--where, if memory serves, Wolverine's claws were actually temporary powers. And then came Electro Source's Wolverine: Adamantium Rage, with its satisfying claw mechanics but insane difficulty.
Where will X-Men Origins: Wolverine fall in the pantheon of Wolverine gaming? We'll know in May, when it's released alongside the film.

Woverine controlled just like he did in X-Men Legends and he was fun enough. But the Nightcrawler missions were fun as hell and I liked how he was implemented.
Iceman was a rail shooter a la Starfox and the weakest point, but he wasn't too bad.
