I was considering buying this game now that I have a joystick, but after playing IL-2 Sturmovik I doubt I could stand the obvious arcadiness of HAWX. I mean, giving the player a path so they can dodge a missile, honestly? While they're at it they may as well tell the player exactly when to shoot, and what speed to fly at.

I'm so torn on this game.

I feel like I should hate it on principle alone thanks to the name (as I've mentioned in a few past comments).

But Blazing Angels was kinda cool... enough that I could enjoy the demos, but not enough that I ever bought either one. If this is a faster modern fighter version of that I might have a blast.

...but then they seem to have replaced the awesome Blazing Angels lock on with a weird-looking dogfighting mode that's really hard to read in videos...

...but it looks kinda cool...

I really want to try a demo for this.

Why is it whenever I read a title about Tom Clancy's HAWX my brain immediately shoves it in the "Tony Hawk" bin of skate related games.

Seeing cool dogfights and missiles kicks my dyslexia in the Blaas.

I'm trying really, really, really hard to be all jaded and skeptical about this game. But whenever I see more video footage all I hear is "danger zone" playing in my head and telling Goose to hit the brakes so Jester will fly right by.
