Battlefield 1943 Trailer Features Classic Gameplay

by Maarten Goldstein, Feb 05, 2009 6:39am PST

Hot on the heels of today's announcement, here's the first trailer for Battlefield 1943.

Featuring the classic Battlefield locations Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima, Battlefield 1943 will be released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer. All three versions will be available as downloads, with the console releases selling through the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace. The price point is not yet known.

Visitors of the New York Comic Con (February 6-8) will have the opportunity to see the game early, as it will be featured at booth #1441.

  • I don't think anyone can be quite as excited as I am about hearing this news, but sadly, I think it's gonna be a letdown.

24 player only? That's lame, and if EA hosts the servers -- say goodbye to custom maps and mods really.

The more I think about it, the more it sounds like (to me anyway) that they are developing it for consoles and will give us a port to PC. :(

Like the rest of you, I've been wanting this game pretty much forever now, well that and BF3, and while it looks amazing, I just see EA fucking this one up for us PC gamers... I hope I'm wrong, but I'm surprised I'm the only one really noticing these things...
