Crysis Warhead Patch #1 Released
by Nick Breckon, Jan 30, 2009 12:37pm PSTThe first Crysis Warhead patch has been released, updating the game with new 64-bit executable files for Vista and XP.

General Fixes/tweaks
- Windows Vista: Mouse cursor should no longer have an offset in the menu.
- Windows Vista: Unrequested launches in windowed mode should occur less often now.
- Timedemo can now be started from the command line.
- Better dynamic texture support for enthusiast mode.
New Features
- Added 64-bit executables for Windows XP x64 and Windows Vista 64-bit version. In Windows XP x64 a new shortcut will be placed under the Crysis Warhead program group. In Windows Vista right-click the Crysis Warhead icon in Game Explorer and choose to run the game in 64-bit mode.
Known Issues
- Games saved in 32-bit won't work properly when running the 64-bit version and vice-versa.
Note: After applying the patch the version displayed (lower right corner of menu) is 1.1.1.710.

I can't play it because of some bullshit artifacting that has been attributed to overclocked video cards. Considering my card was OC'ed out of the box and runs fine with the rest of my games, i'm not fucking with it. Original Crysis runs fine though. I don't get it.

DX10 64-bit @ Very High, 1280x960/0xAA runs like a dream and plays like a dream with E6600/4GB/GF8800GTX @ defaults.
The game run without a problem before the patch. Now it seems to run a bit smoother. There's much less random quick slowdowns.
