New StarCraft 2 Screenshots: Now That's a Zerg Rush

28
Blizzard has dropped another batch of StarCraft II screenshots, this time showing off the crops and pines of a rather rural planet--and one massive Zerg rush. I think this is the set that did it. I'm over the edge. After playing Dawn of War II--and thus getting another taste of a solid sci-fi RTS--I can't wait to get my hands on this one again.

StarCraft II is coming to the PC. Maybe this year, maybe next.

If this really happens in game, holy crap: http://www.shacknews.com/screenshots.x?gallery=11379#img130608

I doubt it will. I remember SC1 screenshots and they showed situations that never occurred in actual gameplay.

Thats not to say that I really think it matters. I would not want that many units on the screen at once anyway, it would really make it difficult to control.

Looks possible, but impractical. Just looks like someone maxed out their units on Zerglings.

I've done that before in SC1. It's good fun.

I remember the images on the back of the box showing some canceled unit abilities or such, but this scenario is well achievable in SC1, 300+ zerglings?

Could be a single-player scenario. That seems really unlikely to occur in a multiplayer StarCraft II match unless they really change the scale of the game.

The terrain mission where you had to hold out against overwhelming zerg was always one of my favorite. I approve.

It looks like an opening to a level, look at the multiple nukes falling about to destroy all the zerg.
