Morning Discussion

Nick and I finally got around to beating that Resident Evil 5 demo last night. We'd played the Japanese demo a while back, but I'll admit, we got our asses kicked by the zombie horde--we couldn't beat either stage, no matter how many times we tried.

Perhaps that was because we were playing a lot of Left 4 Dead at the time and trying to stick together instead of splitting up. But hey, this time, we beat both Resident Evil 5 scenarios with ease, spending most of the stages split up instead of side-by-side.

I'm really looking forward to the final game for both single-player and co-op play, the latter being something I'm generally not that into, so hurry up already March 13. And here's hoping for a good Wednesday--I think we could all use some extra happiness.

A 3 minute trailer of the new Mario and Luigi RPG for DS. Looks damn awesome, hopefully better than Partners in Time, I did not like it as much as the first.

Oh my. Could this be nearly as awesome as the original Super Mario RPG? I might actually need to get a DS. =/

How was paper mario? Since it looks like that was technically a sequel.

It wouldn't be such a bad game if the story and dialogue wasn't so fucking awful. I mean there are a couple funny characters/bosses but the rest of the game you wish everyone would just shut the fuck up and let you play.

Wtf, do they spend the whole game stuck inside of Bowser?

I WANT to like it, but for some reason I just get really bored and stop. Maybe I'll try to finish it again (I am like 5-6 hours in probably)

You could just skip it and play Partners in Time. I'll allow that. SS is a **** game, PiT is probably ****3/4

I kind of hated it too. I think I got to one of the last bosses and just kind of stopped playing. I loved the shit out of Partners in Time though. it pretty much fixes everything that was wrong with Superstar Saga and makes it more fun. there are more complicated aspects to it, because you often control a character on each screen, but all the fighting has been refined and simplified a bit which makes it a lot easier to pick up and far less frustrating
