Fallout 3 'Operation Anchorage' DLC Released

Having to buy this on Windows inferior live service is so ridiculous. I posted this on Steam earlier, but it's relevant to the topic:

The problem with LIVE is that it's a completely backwards system that is being introduced on the PC where we have had far better alternatives for years. On the console you don't have much of a choice, here we have established systems that work far better. As an in game system for handling multiplayer games, LIVE is horrible. Compare any game where LIVE handles multiplayer connectivity to a game like COD4 where the server browser is exactly what we on the PC are used to. LIVE isn't easier, it's gimped. As for the digital store, they use carnival money...seriously, microsoft points? If you are going to introduce a system for purchasing games, introduce something better than what is already out there. Steam is the best, LIVE is not even close to being as good as Steam, so why should I settle for LIVE? People will say that when Steam came along it wasn't accepted right away and then over time it got better. This is true, but it was all we had at the time and it is seriously the best thing that PC gaming has going for it now. LIVE is coming out as an imitation of something that is established, and their imitation is not nearly as good. I refuse to buy games that aren't on steam now, it's convenient, it's the best system, and it's a company that won't try to sell me carnival money. They're improving it constantly for the sake of improving it and not because they have to. Windows LIVE is an insult to PC gaming and cannot be taken seriously unless they can offer a better service than Steam, and sell games for real money.
