Lionhead Denies Fable 2 PC Port

6
Fable II developer Lionhead has denied that it's working on a PC port of its Xbox 360 open-world action RPG, despite a fresh batch of rumors to the contrary.

"We're not working on a PC version of Fable II," Lionhead employee "Woody" wrote on the developer's forums. "If this changes we'll make sure you know about it."

While a PC release of Fable II has been rumored for some time, the latest batch of rumors came from sporadically updated entertainment blog WhatIfGaming, which claimed that Lionhead told it that "a Fable II for PC users would be likely imminent."

Though a PC port of Fable II would come as no major surprise--the first Fable hit PC after its Xbox release--the blog is relatively unknown in the news arena, gaining attention through a report that Dead Space PC had the "2nd to the worst controls we've seen."

Its the same rumours and denials that went on when Fable 1 was supposed to come to PC. It will come out by Summer.

Bang on. Of course it will.

They don't want the news out yet, because they don't want people holding back for the no doubt superior PC version. They're owned by Microsoft remember, and will no doubt be contractually bound to denying any port.

Like you said, it will be out by summer, and much like Fallout 3, it will boast the addtional add on stuff over GFWL.

Hell, Moleauynex [sic] himself said "we wont confirm or deny a pc version" a few months back. Not exactly what you would say if you had no intention. Man I love his flapping lips, must be a PR nightmare that guy :D
