I realise this is meant to basically be Galaga with F18s or whatever, but doesn't it bother anyone that the water doesn't even shimmer when the jet flies a few metres off the surface?

Oh, that and the 360 flips in mid air.

until Ubisoft break out of their design philosophy of 3-4 different mission types/objectives which are repeated for the entire game (assassins creed, far cry 2, prince of persia etc.) I dont care about any of their IPs

I've been holding off of Ace Combat 6 specifically for this game. This video was even more impressive, specifically the non-aid stuff. I don't give a shit about 100% realism because realistically modern dogfights suck. The only sims where I like my insane realism is WW2....and IL2 deliver thats.

This is definitely on my "To Watch" list.

If this this game weren't UbiSoft, I'd probably buy it. Does anyone else miss the old flight-sims, where as their focus was on realism of flight? I wonder if we'll ever see a game like Falcon 4.0 again, or have I missed something?
