As had been expected, a F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin PC demo is now available and can be downloaded from FileShack. An Xbox 360 demo has been released as well, now available from the console's online marketplace, with a PS3 demo due later today.

The demo is a 1.76GB download and offers a glimpse at what you can expect from Monolith's horror action game sequel, which hits stores February 10 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Well done, a buy, but kind of boring and too much like FEAR 1.

I said, kind of boring. that was my initial impression. I just played it again and enjoyed it more. Its still will be one of the better games released this year, so its worth buying,

"Boring" and "Like FEAR 1" does not compute.

Agreed, FEAR 1 was the first game that really scared me and did a good job of it. Nowadays it seems like "scary" means excessively gorey and grotesque, while I much prefer the Richard Matheson-style, "something bad is about to happen to me and I don't know what or why" horror. So far no game has managed to scare me like that since FEAR 1, not even the FEAR 1 expansions.

I never got scared when playing F.E.A.R. I however did get scared playing Doom 3.

I'm the complete opposite. Monsters jumping out of closets don't really do it for me.
