OutRun Online Now 360 Exclusive in North America

Originally announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Sumo Digital's downloadable racer OutRun Online Arcade is now a 360 exclusive in North America, reports CVG.

The UK branch of publisher Sega confirmed that, though the PlayStation 3 edition will not hit North America, Europe will still receive both versions later this year.

No reason was given for the shift, with Sega of America yet to offer an explanation.

It's funny how the only good game Sega has made in the past like 10 years, has been Valkyria Chronicles, and it's a PS3 exclusive. One of the best RPGs ever made.

They put out this garbage for everyone else.

Being a huge OutRun fan from the days of the original raster graffix arcade version, I'm kinda excited about this. Being an XBLA title I'm hoping it will be cheap too. As it's a native online title it's understandable that Sega would want it showcased on the most robust online service so I understand why no PSN for US. I'm sure once they work out the kinks in the PSN version in euro/asia they will prolly release a PS3 version stateside as well.

This makes sense. Microsoft is in bed with Sega. Remember Microsoft published Outrun 2 for the original Xbox. The graphics look no better than Outrun Coast 2 Coast for PlayStation 2.
