Report: World of Darkness MMO Launching in 2010

The MMO based on White Wolf's World of Darkness vampire/werewolf franchise is scheduled to launch in 2010, according to CCP financial documents noticed by VideoGaming247.

"CCP is currently working on new projects, the largest of which is World of Darkness, a MMOG that is scheduled to launch 2010," reads the document.

EVE Online developer CCP began production on the vampire MMO after acquiring White Wolf in late 2006.

CCP marketing director Magnus Bergsson had previously guessed at a 2011 release date for the title.

This game is for us long-time roleplay and WOD fans. Not you dumbass greifers.
I hope they come up with something innovative. I don't want this game to be a GANK-fest. And this is big news for anybody involved in the VTM, WTF, or MTA community.
I liked Warhammer's PVP. But this HAS to be story-drivien. I mean, the Vampire World is political as hell.\
If there is PVP, it has to have the same rules as Elysium, the Masquerade, and Lodge.

I don't know if anyone can produce an MMO that's as deeply immersive as single-player RPGs. I keep picturing WOD as a bigger, better version of VTM: Bloodlines (only without the horrible animation glitches) but I think I'm just setting myself up for a letdown.

You never know, though. It could be awesome. XD And if it's not, there's always the Elder Scrolls MMO to get my hopes up...

The graphics on this one had better be good; two steps above WoW or the upcoming Star Wars MMO. That cheap, cartoony art style is not going fly or set the atmosphere in the WoD setting.
