The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Guitar Hero: Metallica will arrive in stores on March 29, according to a note from the band spotted by Joystiq.

The rhythm game is set to include 28 Metallica songs, along with tracks from Alice in Chains, the Foo Fighters, Slayer, Machine Head and Queen. An Expert+ drumming mode that enables support for two kick pedals will distinguish the gameplay from World Tour. The Wii and PlayStation 2 versions of Guitar Hero: Metallica will be released "most likely in early May," according to Metallica.
