Skate 2 Media Rolls Off into the Sunset

Electronic Arts today released the final Skate 2 media blast before the game's launch. If you haven't checked out the demo on Xbox Live yet, take a look at the follow screenshots for what you're missing.

Skate 2 is slated to hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 21--exactly one week from today.

I think they improved upon Skate. with new features enough to make it a more complete game without losing skate. ones originality in controls. Who cares if getting of your board is a bit sluggish (which I dont think it is), the option to is fantastic in how much more gameplay it opens up. Posts that say "I loved skate. but skate 2 is looking crappy." are silly

I played the hell out of the first one. The second one looks pretty good, but it seems like there's going to be more "random shit around that shouldn't be there but it is so you can skate on it" in this one. Also the frame rate in the demo was downright bad at some points. I don't remember it being bad in the first one.

- The first one did have some framerate hiccups on the 360, but the PS3 version was downright awful in comp... : pyide
- I found the framerates in the skate 2 demo to be buttery smooth. No issues at all. : DrZettl

Skate 2 doesn't look as good as the original. The textures and modeling look downgraded. Another bad thing is the character modification; no matter what I do, I still look like a homeless person. Getting off your board is a nice idea, but the control seems a bit stiff...much like GTA4.

I'm a big fan of the first Skate game, so this is really a disappointment. Now a regret selling it.
