Yes, I have never played it.

That screenshot looks terrible and isn't inspiring me to open my wallet. Convince me otherwise Shack.

Well. That screenshot can't show you some of the most addictive turn based strategy ever. Seriously, I owned the game on PS1 and I couldn't put it down for weeks, really rewarding when you get good at it. $5 is nothing, you would spend more than that to see a movie

$5 to see a movie? Man, I wish.

$5 for one of the greatest games of all-time plus a couple of not nearly as good games? Even if I didn't work for the publisher I'd say that's awesome. :)

I think Apocalypse was a worthy sequel. Terror was more of a graphics + sound mod and some gameplay tweaks. Still, it's basically more X-com.

It is a great game for sure, but I didn't care for it when it came out way back when. Just not my thing

X-COM is widely considered to be one of the best games ever made in the history of gaming. If that isn't reason enough, I don't know what is.

If you have never played it, try out this open-source clone called UFO: Alien Invasion
      http://sourceforge.net/projects/ufoai/

I've played X-Com: Enforcer and it was ok, maybe a 6/10. It was a third person shooter that you kill waves and waves of aliens with different powerups. It wasn't bad, but wasn't challenging and wasn't a strategy game like the rest of the series. But i've played all the games in this series and nothing beats the original idea. So try out the open source version if your interested in seeing what X-Com is all about.

Yeeeech! Don't you dare put UFO in the same category as X-Com!

it's not the same as the commercially released UFO:Whatever series of games... it's a based on the quake 2 engine and is fully turn based and so on...
