Bots and Arenas in Q3A
by Marcus Yam, Jul 23, 1999 4:57pm PDTToni pointed me towards the Q3 pak files again, and after a little digging, I found 2 text files that contain lists of the Arenas with the name of the map, the mapper, and the number of intended players. Secondly, I found the Bot list with information on the model, name, reaction, aim, move, aggression, and intelligence. For your reading enjoyment, I've posted them in html- Click here for the Arenas listing, and here for the Bots listing.

The interesting thing is that some people did just that with quake2 =P
Not much but a tad, just because news sites have talked about the number of models and map doesnt mean they are in there.
Im not going to bust a nut over this shit but I I dont think we need to ride him for posting it...

i know you all will be totally interested
Maybe unchanged was a bad choice of words. Let me put it this way: I don\'t see how those config files can relate in any way to what the actual game will be like. (That is, more than what we already know, i.e. that there will be bots and that the levels will start out easy and get harder.)
Anyway, I asked a simple question.. try and give an intelligent answer instead of making irrelevant comparisons to completely different things.
I just didn\'t think any of us were so starved for Q3 info that we would be interested in this :)
#1. umm, dont look at any screenshots or movies when they come out.
and dont even bother with the test.
Its not like any of that is gonna stay any way unchanged for the final
release.
Anyway, lemme point out my own typo before anyone else does, it\'s \"relevance\", not \"relevancy\".
