Gears of War 2 Flashback Map Pack Now Available for Purchase on Xbox Live

The Flashback Map Pack, at first only available as a free download to new purchasers of Gears of War 2, has been put up for general sale on Xbox Live. The pack sells for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), and includes five remakes of maps from the original Gears of War: Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway and Tyro Station.

Owners of used Gears 2 copies, rejoice.

      But apparently I think the usage of those maps is very little... and the money to be made is alot... then the usage will go up alot too

      I thought they said the map pack was to cut down on the amount of used games being purchased. Exclusive to people that bought the game new. That did not get very far eh?

        they might have succeeded perfectly well. don't you think the novelty of something like this wears off? at some point people forget about it and it stops being motivation to buy the game new.

        once that happened, what else is there to do with it but sell it?

        this is like using harsh copy protection on a pv game dvd for the first month or two, and then disabling it. the publisher didn't lose in that scenario. they fucking WON. most of the games sold went out the door in that first month. if people pirate a game out of its prime, who cares, it isn't popular then anyway.

      They did. Did you believe them? Developers and publishers in gaming lie about this kind of thing almost 100% of the time.
