Dawn of War 2 PC Specs Revealed, Beta Teased
by Chris Faylor, Jan 06, 2009 2:48pm PSTDeveloper Relic has unveiled the minimum and recommend system requirements for its PC action-RTS sequel Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War 2, due out later this year.
Along with the specs, Relic's community site teased that more information on the game's multiplayer beta will be released this Thursday, January 8.
- Minimum Requirements
- Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1
- P4 3.2 GHz (single core) or any Dual Core processor
- 1 GB RAM (XP), 1.5 GB RAM (Vista)
- A 128MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT / ATI X1600, or equivalent
- 5.5 GB of Hard Drive space
- Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1
- AMD Athlon 64x2 4400+ or any Intel Core 2 Duo
- 2 GB RAM (XP and Vista)
- A 256MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900, or equivalent
- 5.5 GB of Hard Drive space

I have mine only set to 32MB since I've got 8GB of RAM. I have to increase it specifically for this game...

On a side note, I really wish developers would stop ignoring clipping issues in RTS games. Not that it's a game breaker, but if you play around for fun at some point and zoom onto the units and they're clipping the weapon inside their body or structures it just looks bad. Think, we're high poly enough today that we can prevent clipping or at least clipping in the most obvious places.
