'Major' Gears of War 2 Patch Due This Month
by Chris Faylor, Jan 06, 2009 9:30am PSTA "major" Gears of War 2 (360) update should resolve a number of exploits, latency issues, and add achievement progress tracking later this month, writes developer Epic.
"We're fixing a whole bunch of online exploits," Epic VP Mark Rein posted on the game's official forums. "For example we've fixed the ability to wield an invisible shield, melee through some walls, gain infinite Lancer ammo and equip a shield and a two-handed weapon simultaneously plus many more."
While Rein said that this was just a "very small list of some of the things that will be in the next title update," other promised tweaks include increased penalties for quitting matches early, more spawn protection against planted grenades and chainsaws, a more reliable shotgun in laggy matches, achievement tracking, and DLC achievements.

Between my roommates and I dividing the TV up between two separate Fallout 3 characters, two separate Fable 2 characters, and some occasional Wii Excite Truck racing, I haven't even tried Gears 2 multiplayer yet.

Makes me miss original GOW.
Like Counter-Strike? Wow, it is ok for a shield in a shitty game, but not ok for a shield in( what use to be ) a great game?
I just love gamers and what they bitch about the most.....
