Screenshots of A2M's Wet Are ...Dry?
by Chris Faylor, Jan 02, 2009 11:22am PSTIt's okay if you've forgotten about Wet, as it seems like everyone else has as well. Though dropped after the Activision-Vivendi merger, the sexy A2M-developed action game is apparently still planned to hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at some point in 2009.
These screenshots are brought to you by middleware company Illuminate Labs, which provided the technology for the game's lighting, as noticed by Cinema Blend.

Clueless CEO throws out "A2M" idea at brainstorming session. Table full of marketing employees suppress giggles and manage to retain straight faces as they look around hoping someone else will embarrass themselves by telling the CEO why that's probably not a good idea.

YAY! Static lighting!!! To heck with all these heretics talking about dynamic ligth sources and dynamic objects casting dynamic shadows. Light sources and objects must NOT be able to move. Can't have that, NO. Developers MUST and SHALL spend hours and days precomputing the lighting in a scene. Can't have decent workflow for level designers. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111!!!.

My reaction was: "That doesn't look too bad."
But then I looked back to the trailer from way back, and then I was like: "Eugh."
