Batman: Arkham Asylum Screenshots: Still Looking Great

Eidos has released another batch of screenshots from Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC, PS3, X360), the third person action detective game in development at Rocksteady Games. The shots show Batman taking on several of Arkham's psychotic patients.

It was announced last week that Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will be voicing The Joker and Batman. The game also features a script penned by Emmy Award-winning Batman: The Animated Series writer Paul Dini.

Looks great. Character models in this game have a thick meaty look to them... kinda reminds me of that game Kingpin. (And thinking of that game makes me laugh.. because I think it was one of the first times I remember hearing characters drop f-bombs in a game).

The variation in the visual quality of UE3 games is huge and I think that highlights the height of the skill ceiling for this generation of art. Many games using the technology look pretty ugly in many places so obviously some companies don't have the ability to get the most out of it, but these lads obviously have some amazingly talented artists and so the game looks fantastic.
