The six people that play World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and have not yet upgraded to the newest Lich King expansion now have the opportunity to sample the fresh content in a 10-day free trial.

An active Burning Crusade account is required for the trial. Users will also want to have a level 55 characters or above in order to experience the Death Knight class, or have a level 68 character in order to survive Northrend.

The free trial signup page can be found on Blizzard's official website, along with a trial FAQ.

I agree. I hate leveling but it's so much more fun in the expansion. Ever since I hit 77 I've been rushing through the content just because I want to get back into raiding/pvp, but even then, it's been a blast. A lot of it is the same old stuff like go here and grab 20 of this, or kill 10 of these guys, but they've added a few new types of quests.

The stuff on the vehicles has been fun so far. It's not just flying a dragon and killing stuff. There's quests where you get to ride a shredder to kill stuff, there's even one (and probably more) where you get to ride a giant and smash stuff.

One of the things I'm enjoying the most is the new mini boss fights. One that I did last night had me fight an elite w/ a lot of hp. You get a rod to mind control one of his guys and then try to avoid him. He throws stuff at you/the ground that you have to avoid and while you're doing that you're attacking him with the pet you have and he's healing you also. It was pretty fun and a nice change of pace.

The new phasing tech is great too. There's one zone that starts out with you capturing a few guys then fighting an elite. After you complete the quest, you're sent back there and now that place shows up as a new base camp w/ a quest hub and flight path.

If you got sick of the content in TBC and didnt want to return to wow because you thought it'd be more of the same, I'd definitely recommend trying this out. I think it has enough new stuff to keep the game fresh.

I was going to do the same. I'm almost done with ZD but I'm passing on it for now. A guildie told me that the gear you get in Icecrown will help out with getting started tanking heroics, which I'm going to need to do so I can be useful in raiding.

Definitely agreed. If you hate all that WoW stands for then it won't change your mind but for everyone else who garnered at least some enjoyment from the game, you'll love it. Light years beyond Burning Crusade.

Agreed! Did a lot of quests in Borean yesterday with a friend. Really hard to turn it off!
