Resident Evil 5 Demo Due Early 2009

7
The downloadable Resident Evil 5 demo for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will hit North America in "early 2009," developer and publisher Capcom tells MTV Multiplayer.

Though the Xbox 360 demo was released in Japan last week, complete with an English localization, Capcom blamed unspecified complications for the domestic delay.

The demo packs two stages, including an appearance by the axe-swinging jerkface you see above, and supports both online and offline cooperative play in addition to single-player. The full version of the survival horror action game hits retailers on March 13.

Yeah, I have to say it is strange to not be able to move while shooting or reloading...

        First RE game, eh?

Despite that, it's a fun series that's worth checking out

Have no played the demo, but speaking in terms of RE4 no that wasn't my first RE game and it was still retarded to not be able to move and shoot.

Agreed. I know it's the history of the game, but get with the times.

I've played most in the series. Just because they did it in the past doesn't mean they can't change it. It really almost feels broken.

Anyone else notice the CD doesn't work anymore? I popped me demo CD in to kill some zombies and it gave me some kind of error message

yep, they wised up and locked it down. shame, it seems we'll just be getting the exact same thing officially in '09.

i'll be picking it up, but i agree... i think the controls need to be re-worked. shame it's way too late for that in development.

Yeah, with the current trend in third person, over the shoulder-shooters, the controls seem...dated and sluggish. But I'm picking it up anyway.

apparently it works fine when you are offline. They locked it only for online coop play.
        Try it
