Watchmen Game Debut Trailer: The End Is Nigh
by Nick Breckon, Dec 15, 2008 11:30am PSTContinuing today's Spike-spurred media barrage is the following trailer for Watchmen: The End is Nigh (PS3, 360, PC).
Developed by Deadline Games, The End is Nigh is a downloadable beat-em-up title featuring characters Rorschach and Nite Owl, scheduled to debut alongside the upcoming Watchmen film adaptation in March. The game is set during the 1970s, in the era of the original graphic novel's "Crimebusters" team.
Let's hope the movie aspires to be something more than a "mature action-brawler" with "bloody, visceral combat in rich settings."

What you may not have realized is that the sharp Rorschach gracing the cover is the actual in-game model. If that information floored you, we agree. After all, the game is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, and this model definitely reflects visuals a few notches above your average downloadable title.

So yeah, apparently, it's a downloadable title. Which obviously makes it a whole lot more interesting.
