EA's Dante's Inferno Confirmed

Rumors of an EA-helmed video game based on Dante's Inferno were dead on, as pseudo-celebrity Kim Kardashian has just officially unveiled the project.

"It's based on a book," Kardashian laughed on tonight's Spike Video Game Awards, adding that the game will be released on unspecified consoles at some point next year. The ensuing trailer revealed little of the game, apart from its use of dark graphics.

The project's existence was unofficially unveiled earlier this year, when several companies were vying for the movie rights of the poem-turned-game.

This is going to be terrible. What is going to happen for gameplay? Choose the correct dialogue? Try and resist fainting half the time? Explore the 6th bolgia? Either there is game is absolutely going to suck, or it's going to be VERY loosely based Dante's inferno.

You know, of course, when this finally arrives in stores and we find out it sucks, there will be absolutely no end to the comments of how playing the game is like (x) level of hell. I think it'll suck just so they can read said comments.

This is pretty intellectual, but very interesting and accessible IMO. BBC Radio show called In Our Times recently did a show on Dante's Inferno, they bring in university professors each week to discuss various topics.
