Sony Comments on PlayStation Home Problems

By Nick Breckon, Dec 12, 2008 3:13pm PST Connection issues have plagued users of the PlayStation Home open beta since its release yesterday, with many being unable to use the software due to "overwhelming demand."

Now Sony communications director Patrick Seybold has acknowledged the problems in a blog post, and says that Sony is working on solutions:

We are aware that some people may be experiencing difficulty in accessing the PlayStation Home beta at present. This is due to overwhelming demand for the service as people access Home for the very first time since it became Open Beta and appeared on the XMB.

While we prepare solutions to ease the problem, you may continue to experience difficulties accessing Home. We kindly ask for your patience as we work to meet the incredible demand for this revolutionary service.

  • After finally connecting and roaming around, I can honestly say that The Sims is a better game....

.... and I fucking HATE The Sims...

Sony if this is the result of a four year development.. beta or not... more things to come or not... this service is dumb.

I'd rather pay 50-60 bucks for something worthwhile than having a virtually 'free' service where my money gets sucked at $0.50-5 dollars at a time.

If this is truly Sony's answer to XBL then....

"That was the worst answer I have ever heard. At no point in your incoherent rambling did you ever come anywhere near the question. We are all stupider for having listened to you. I award you zero points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
