Damn Friday, way to represent.

First, I wake up to a snow-covered winter wonderland and blue skies, which are much nicer than the grey overcast and its soggy "don't worry, I'll only freeze at night" rain.

And then, Tim Schafer's latest, Brutal Legends, finally gets a new publisher.

Plus we get the first in-game footage of BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic today.

In conclusion, Fri-to-the-day knows what is up. Let's keep the good times coming, eh?

I just ordered a Samsung NC10, which I intend to cram full of awesome games from GOG.com. Anyone else doing some classic PC gaming on a netbook?

  I've been digging up some of my old 90s CD-ROM games, and some of them still run surprisingly well (like MissionForce: Cyberstorm, the turn-based strategy prequel to Tribes). Most of the time I have to resort to DOSBox though, since I have Windows 95 installed on the lappy too. A lot of the old "adventure" games that were made in Macromedia Director need this treatment because they just run too fast.
  
  On the topic of MissionForce Cyberstorm, I highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it. Surprisingly deep and a great timesink.
