A new four-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fighting game is heading to the Wii next year, according to secondhand report by GoNintendo.

Citing Nintendo Power, the story notes that the untitled fighter is being developed by Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Team Ninja veterans.

More sketchy information has pegged the game as a 2.5D fighter, published by Ubisoft and aimed for a September 2009 release. The supposed feature list appears comparable to Brawl, with story, battle and tournament modes, as well as online multiplayer.

  • Hopefully my Wii won't have problems playing this like it does with Smash Bros. I was one of those fortunate people that had to send in my Wii and game copy to Nintendo. It works for about one month before it stopped working again. Well at least I still have a DC with Powerstone 2 for 4 player fighting mayhem and a 64 for old school Smash (which is still my favorite).

Now this has me thinking - any other good 4 player fighters besides Smash, Powerstone 2 and the other TMNT fighter? Well I shouldn't call that last one good... but it's 4 player.
