Valve Pacifies Left 4 Dead Cheaters on Xbox 360
by Nick Breckon, Dec 10, 2008 11:44am PSTValve has released a server-side patch to thwart the "cheating behavior" allowed in the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead, which saw safe rooms overrun with Witches by way of silly hackery.
"The fix is designed to halt the cheating behavior on the dedicated servers, which accounts for the majority of the co-op and Versus modes of play," writes Valve.
"A title update for those playing on user-hosted servers and/or via system link will be released in the coming days."

1) Fix the same freaking quick-weapon-switch exploit that was already fixed in CS and TF2. I played with someone last night who meleed faster than E. Honda.
2) Alter either the levels or melee itself so the nigh-invincible closet of No Mercy 4 isn't the best possible tactic.
3) Alter the Director to be a bit more consistent in Versus. I'm thinking of witches blocking mandatory doorways for one team and hiding in a corner for the other, and first-minute Tanks for one team but not the other.

Splitscreen works, the controller he's holding is working great, except for one thing;
It's a PS2-like USB controller, and when he pushes the right-stick up (to look up) the camera swings left and when he pushes the stick to the right the camera swings up. I've tested it and it happens with quite a few more games. In the Control Panel (XP) it works normal (up is up and right is right).
Can anyone help me? :)

Must be nearly all of them, seeing as matchmaking on the PC is still just as bad as ever.
