Midnight Club: Los Angeles Title Update Released
by Maarten Goldstein, Dec 09, 2008 3:33am PSTRockstar Games has announced the availability of a title update for its racing game sequel Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, the patch offers improved AI that dynamically adjusts to the user skill level -- many reviews noted the game was incredibly difficult.
The Xbox 360 patch also adds extra leaderboards for tournaments through the Rockstar Games Social Club, improved multiplayer match searching, and "upgraded streaming and performance".

To be honest, I don't mind a game that is challenging (which I think we we can all agree that this game is) - as long as luck is not included in that 'challenge', then its ok.
Yes, the traffic can be random - but the game provides enough help to solve that also.
The game has enough things to do - letting players of any skill level improve is my view on it (all based on my playtime so far yes - as I am not fully done with the game).

And the game's difficulty comes from seemingly-intelligent AI drivers, not from just a rubber-band AI.

I mean it's good that it's getting fixed, but seems like something they should have addressed before the game went gold. A game being too difficult seems to me like a pretty major problem and might scare away less savvy people who don't have their 360 hooked up to the internet for whatever reason.
